My goal in life is to become an eminent Researcher and Teacher. I am a Mathematician interested in mathematics and theoretical computer science namely computing and complexity theory. I teach Algebra, Linear Algebra, Analysis, Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis, Algorithms, Logic and Applied Statistics.
In most sciences one generation tears down what another has built, and what one has established another undoes. In mathematics alone each generation adds a new story to the old structure. - Hermann Hankel - German Mathematician (1838-1873)
Research Mission: In line with Hankel's above proposition, I strongly believe that the future of mathematics will be influenced by the concepts and issues arising in computer science. A strong mathematical orientation is necessary to solve the key challenges in computer sciences. Am more interested in developing theories around issues arising in computer sciences.
Our research group explores for discoveries around Artin primitive root conjecture and also on designing-analysing algorithms for some complex problems like shock capturing or boundary layer problems. Further we also take up big data problems on some real life challanges by designing scalable algorithms for the same. I hope this gives a broad overview of my research interest. Please visit our lab for further information.
Teaching Mission: Teaching is a very interesting and a challenging job to do. Its interesting because we get to understand how our ideas are being perceived by the students. Given the mass and diversity of the students in the class it is a challenge to be an effective communicator. My idea on Pedagogy is that teacher should aim to bring the learning process into the student's life. I spend a good amount of my time to device a effective teaching methodology. I have the following two propositions on teaching,
